I have not been to the new Ballpark yet. However, it seems like they play music instead of having an Organ player like a REAL Ballpark should. Why is it that most if not all Ballparks today have Organ players anymore? Does anyone know why? Has this issue been addressed? It bothers me so much...

On Sunday, May 4, I decided at 2:00 p.m. (the game started at 1:30p.m.) to leave my home in Fairfax with my 8-year son and drive down to Nats Park for the Nat/Pirates game. An out-of town-friend had just arrived at Reagan and was on his way on Metro to the game, and wanted me to join him there. I had to borrow $75 cash from my son (who just received the $$ the day before from his grandparents for his First Communion). We found a pay parking garage on L street, just a couple blocks from the Park. I paid my $20 to park, and my son and I ran over to the Park. It was now the 5th inning, and strangely enough there were dozens of people on the street walking away from Nats Park. Lo and behold, when I arrived up at the ticket windowns at the Center Field Gate, I was told there were only $33 tickets available. I stepped back and pointed to blocks of empty seats, some 10 rows by 20 seats, some 200 or more seats, in the upper third base stands. The ticket agent said, "well, those are all sold out." I said, "Well then, where is everybody?" Since I only had $55 in my pocket I couldn't get into the game, even now in the 6th inning!! I asked if "my son could sit on my lap, and could I buy just one ticket." "Nope, no can do."
I ended up waiting outside the gate an hour for my buddy to come out in the 8th inning.
When $55 dollars can't get you and your son into a baseball game, something Major League is wrong. Nationals Park. Family Friendly. HOGWASH!!

This Blog ia a great idea and the comments provide good information. I detect--except for one--a lack of CONSTRUCTIVE comments. It is VERY EASY TO BE NEGATIVE but this is a BRAND NEW situation and calls for a more informational style NOT whinning and complaints. I am sure if you list the good and the bad in a less sarcastic manner the powers that be AND future fans and stadium visitors will have a better experience. I believe that this WHOLE NEW STADIUM PRO'S AND CON'S will be addressed. I would appreciate knowing the good and the bad so I can enjoy the experience and I don't like the the tone associated with the things that don"t in THIS BRAND NEW STADIUM> In short be nice and be informitive not whinny and complaining.
