Nuts About the Nats

Last month at a game during the Marlins series, I heard "Nuts About the Nats." It's a little corny, but it's ours. Apparently, Elliot in the Morning is a fan. Enjoy!

I thought I heard some sort of Nats theme song the other night, but I couldn't hear it clearly. I still remember the lyrics to "Meet the Mets" (both verses) 40 years after I last sat in the Upper Deck of Shea Stadium. It would be nice to have a "viral" Nats song too.

Is it me or does that song actually sound a little like a mix of "Meet the Mets", "We're Gonna Win Twins" and "Orioles Magic". When will they come up with something original?
What ever happened to the music group that wrote a song last year that was supposed to be the Nats theme song. Was that it???

This song is an abomination, a crime against nature, a cancer upon society. OK, maybe it's not *that* bad, but it sure isn't good.

I LOVE IT! I keep saying this, but it's so old fashioned and kid-like. I love all the pop music they're playing at the stadium but "Nuts about the Nats" is a refreshing, and hopefully timeless, little ditty that's set apart from all that.
Here's a suggestion: Instead of Sweet Caroline, play "Nuts about the Nats" with a cute, old-fashioned cartoon and bouncing ball over the lyrics.
I sang it the whole way home after the game the other night. I love it!
