Sally and Me

Let me be frank: I am not as skinny as I would like to be. Why? There are many reasons, including two pregnancies in the last four years, a lack of time to exercise and my unending love of baked goods.

I realize many people can relate to this, but you know what's really hard? Working at a desk near Sally Squires, the paper's Lean Plate Club columnist. Whenever I pass Sally's desk or meet her in the ladies room, the guilt takes over. "What have I eaten today? Can she tell I slurped down a bowl of ice cream last night? I'm sure she can tell I don't eat enough veggies."

I've decided to be more productive and less neurotic. I'm following her Holiday Challenge. The goal is simple: Forget about trying to lose weight during the biggest party season of the year. Just try not to gain more.

I know many of you are Lean Plate Club fans and for those who aren't, check out the online site and give Sally a try.
