DuVal Against Wise

On January 15th the Duval Varsity basketball team played in a game against Wise; the end result was a loss for DuVal with a score of 80-68. They began by preparing in pre-game warm-ups.

After preparing themselves you could tell they were motivated to play their best against Wise. The first quarter began and Wise shot the first basket leading 2-0. By the end of the first quarter the score was 13-12, with Wise leading by 1.

In the second quarter, the Tigers were unable to gain the lead from Wise. By the end of halftime the score was now 36-27, Wise having a 9 point lead against the Tigers.

At half time our guys were tired, but they huddled up and got back into the game, ready more than ever. At the end of third quarter it was 56-42. It was now fourth quarter, and Wise had a 14 point lead.
DuVal fought and fought but they just couldn't keep the score close. At the end of the game the score was 80-68.
Team Captain, Justin Bess scored an outstanding 15 points during the game, and Danny Agbelese scored 12 points. Even though the Tigers lost, they are keeping their heads up and preparing for their next game.
