Musicians Gather to Support Boutté Family

More than a dozen Annapolis-area musicians will gather at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, at the Rams Head Onstage for a special show to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina produced by Annapolis Musician's Fund in partnership with the Rams Head Tavern. This event aims to help one musical family during their time of need.

"And in the media all of the emphasis is on donating to the big organizations, leaving the individuals affected by this crisis all but forgotten. That is why we have elected to focus our efforts on helping one family, that of New Orleans vocalist Tricia Boutté," said Matt McConville, one of the organizers of the event, according to a recent press release.

Tricia "Sista Teedy" Boutté is the next generation of a long line of talented New Orleans performers, the niece of jazz vocalist Lillian Boutté and versatile vocalist John Boutté.

Currently scheduled performers include: Dan Haas, Meg Murray, Angie Miller, Nadine Rae & the Rich Chorne All Stars with Tommy Lepson, Matt McConville, Leah Morgan, Jimi Davies, French Bread and the Chinamen, The Geckos, Dirty City Band, and Dave Glaser. Tickets are now available at the Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, online at ramsheadtavern.com, or by phone at 410-268-4545. All ticket sales will go to the Boutté family.

For more information contact Matt McConville, (410) 533-6853 or Jeff Muller, (443) 223-9481.
