Glading Questionable to face Johns Hopkins
Junior Danny Glading, a starting attackman for Virginia, is questionable to play against Johns Hopkins tomorrow, Coach Dom Starsia said. Glading (16 goals, 18 assists) has a strained hamstring and has not practiced this week. As a rule, the best cure for hamstring injuries is rest.
"He wants to play; if it were up to him he'd be out there," Starsia said. "But if you told me that he wouldn't play and will be [completely] healthy by Wednesday, I'd take that."
Gavin Gill (7 goals, 9 assists) took Glading's spot after Glading was injured early in a 13-8 victory over Towson last Saturday; he finished with two goals and three assists. But some of that was because of poor play from Towson's goalies. They combined for 13 saves and each goalie was pulled from the game at least once.

Absurd: A slow start for Virginia is very possible on Saturday.
The Blue Jays have two faceoff men. The primary one is senior Stephen Peyser (jersey #12 if you're watching on TV or from the stands). He also plays on the first offensive midfield line and plays a little on defense. And it appears he gets tired as the game progresses (understandibly so).
After the 14-13 overtime loss to Syracuse on Saturday, Peyser walked into the interview room with a wrap on his hamstring. He spent much of the break between the end of regulation and overtime stretching on the sideline, another sign of a hamstring problem.
As much credit as Paul Rabil (9) gets, Peyser is the guy who makes Hopkins go. His mid-season slump last season coincided with Hopkins's three-game losing streak. When he got going, so did the Blue Jays. He is the heart and soul of the team. And if/when he's healthy and "on song," as the Brits say, everything is possible for Johns Hopkins this season.

Hi Christian, I am worrying a little bit about Virginia tomorrow. In their tough games earlier this season, they have been a little slow getting out of the gate. (esp agst Syracuse) Do you know what Coach Starsia plans to do to remedy this in light of facing off against Hopkins?
