Happy Landon-Georgetown Prep Day

Today is the regular season meeting between Landon and Georgetown Prep. It starts at 4:30 p.m. at Prep. TFBO2F will miss the game--instead, we'll be part of the joyless hysteria that is the ACC lacrosse tournament in Charlottesville. (TFBO2F misses when Prep-Landon was played on a Thursday.)

The Bears (13-3) have won 11 in a row following a 12-7 victory over Gonzaga on Monday. They try to defeat another Jesuit school today--the top-ranked Little Hoyas (14-2).

To get ready, we read the Daily Princetonian story on Landon Coach Rob Bordley.

And the story in the Gazette on Landon attackman Michael Grossman, who is headed to Princeton. Wonder if he will be matched up today against Georgetown Prep D Mike Flanagan, who also is headed to Princeton?

Also, it looks like Georgetown Prep MF Henry Van Wagenberg will be taking shots on a future teammate, Landon goalie C.T. Fisher. Each is headed to Georgetown. Van Wagenberg was injured early in the season but had two goals and two assists in a 9-7 win over Delbarton (N.J.) last Saturday.

Here are some scores of the past few games in the series:
