Huge News from Hobart, and an Update on Cannon

Hobart is going back to Division III, according to this release at Laxpower. Hobart was a Division III power under former coach Dave Urick in the 1980s and early 1990s.

Speaking of Urick, his current team, Georgetown, may have dodged a bullet today. Leading scorer Brendan Cannon appears to be okay after he left a 13-7 win over Rutgers with a sprained ankle in the second quarter. Cannon did not come back into the game and watched from the sideline on crutches. But Cannon is listed as probable to play against Penn State in the regular-season finale next Saturday, according to school officials. More is likely to be known on Monday.

What's up squeeze,
Is Camp HoHo still allowed to schedule D-I schools in the future? Seems like reliving the glory days by dominating Salisbury and Nazareth, but without even a occasional shot at legitimacy against a D-I opponent is weak. Hard to imagine Hobart Lax without a game against Syracuse. The fact that we gave Cuse a run for the money back in the day allowed us to dominate DIII because it attracted quality recruits. Now what is their DIII advantage going to be?
