Something To Do Today
The Georgetown women's team hosts Virginia today at 4 p.m. 3:30 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Field. The Hoyas (8-3) are ranked No. 6; Virginia (10-2) is ranked fourth. Virginia senior G Kendall McBrearty (St. Stephen's/St. Agnes) leads a defense that gives up 7.08 goals per game, third in the nation. Meantime, Georgetown sophomore Ashby Kaestner has 37 goals on 74 shots.
The Hoyas also host No. 8 Notre Dame (9-3) on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. That game will be broadcast on CBS College Sports. Fighting Irish junior Jillian Byers, one of the top recruits in program history, has 52 goals this year.
Today's game is free. Saturday's game is $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and students 14-under. Parking is usually around $5 in the school garage off Reservoir Rd. The parking lots at the on-campus hotel are much more expensive.
