Congratulations to the Catholic Women's Team

The Catholic women's team received its first bid to the Division III tournament Sunday night. The Cardinals (15-4) will face Christopher Newport (13-5) on Wednesday in Newport News, Va. Catholic has won 10 consecutive games, including a 21-10 victory over Goucher in the Landmark Conference title game on Saturday. Sophomore Kate Robinson (Catoctin) has scored 80 goals this year. She also has a team-high 24 assists and is tied with senior Caitlin O'Neill (Holy Child) for the team lead in groundballs with 53.

Meantime, freshman Meghan Harkey (Loudoun Valley) has a team-high 40 goals for the Captains. Her brother, J.D. Harkey, made the NCAA men's tournament as a midfielder with UMBC.

The CNU roster contains a number of players from Northern Virginia, in addition to Megan Harkey!
