Georgetown is here

The Hoyas are getting their team picture taken on the field right now. It's cold, and the wind is whipping, so it must feel like the Hilltop.

I do not see Roy Hibbert, so perhaps he's not playing today. Tough to get here after last night's win over St. John's, I suppose.

The Hoyas' lineup:

Elliott -- SS
Lee -- CF
Lamont -- 3B
Iannetta -- C (brother of the Rockies' Chris)
Harigan -- LF
Baumann -- DH
Capeless -- 1B
Muir -- RF
Maranges -- 2B

The scene here: It's free to fans, but there are very few here. The temp surely has something to do with that. And I just saw Georgetown athletic trainer Alan Alper, who was one of the main character's in my 2006 book, "National Pastime: Sports, Politics and the Return of Baseball to Washington, D.C." I need to go catch up with him.

My son, Kelly Muir, is playing right field for Georgetown! Thanks so much for these inning updates as I am in South Pasadena, California right now, but my husband, Sam, is in Viera.
