Cardinals Reportedly Switching to Leinart

The Arizona Cardinals plan to switch to rookie Matt Leinart as their starting quarterback this week, ESPN reported tonight.

Kurt Warner threw three interceptions in Sunday's two-point loss at home to the St. Louis Rams. He also lost a fumbled snap at the Rams 18-yard line with less than two minutes to play.

Coach Dennis Green refused to say today whether he was sticking with Warner as his starting quarterback.

This would be the second time in three seasons that Warner was benched in favor of a prized rookie. In 2004, while with the New York Giants, he lost the starting job to Eli Manning after nine games.
