Next Question: Will Owens Practice Today?

IRVING, Tex.--The next issue in the Terrell Owens saga will be whether the wide receiver is able to participate in the Dallas Cowboys' practice today.

Owens said Wednesday he thinks he can practice today and play Sunday at Tennessee. That vow came as he denied an account in a Dallas police report saying that Owens tried to commit suicide Tuesday by overdosing on prescription pain medication. Owens said here merely suffered an allergic reaction to a combination of painkilling pills and nutritional supplements.

He suffered a broken finger on his right hand during a triumph over the Washington Redskins 11 days ago.

Mark
Can we expect wall-to wall- coverage of the 1695 OTHER NFL players who di not attempt suicide yesterday ?
This has gotten to be ridiculous. Why this obsession and fixation with this one jerk who while he may be an excellent receiver is an absolute cancer in every locker room he has been a part of.
I am now taking a pledge to not read, listen to or watch any story, program or dicussion about "t.o.". Hope you will soon be writing about something and someone else like how maybe the Redskins offensive line players should practice and play their games with mittens on to eliminate the absolutely stupid holding calls. Then maybe they would have to move their feet and use some technique.

Can we stop long enough to inquire why someone would need powerful painkillers for a broken finger? And this medication mixed with "vitamin supplements" caused a bad reaction? I often find it is the really dull-minded people (T.O. and his publicist, for example) who are the first to assume that everyone else out there is stupid.

What happens when you take the initials of the player, and then add the initials of what he is suspected of doing?

T.O.O.D ('tude)

And there is your problem.

Maske just called to say that T.O. is on the practice field. He'll update shortly.
