Alexander Doesn't Get Clearance to Return to Seahawks' Lineup
The Seattle Seahawks had expected to have tailback Shaun Alexander back this week, but it apparently won't happen.
Doctors did not clear the reigning league most valuable player to return to the lineup because tests Monday showed that the cracked bone in his left foot has not healed completely. He'll be sidelined at least another week.
Alexander has missed the past four games, and the Seahawks are 1-3 without him. They also are without quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who's sidelined because of a torn knee ligament.
