Leftwich to Undergo Ankle Surgery

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Byron Leftwich is scheduled to undergo ankle surgery Tuesday.

The Jaguars, in announcing the decision over the weekend, indicated it's not certain yet that Leftwich's season is over.

He tried to play with ankle soreness but has been replaced by David Garrard as the Jaguars' starter and was examined last week in Birmingham by orthopedist James Andrews.
