Cowher Promises Quick Resolution of His Status After Season

Pittsburgh Steelers Coach Bill Cowher told reporters today that he might give an indication as soon as next week whether he will remain with the team beyond this season.

"That's for next week," he said during a news conference. "We'll talk about that next week. It won't go long."

Cowher has not committed to staying with the Steelers. He and the team cut off negotiations on a contract extension before the season. His current deal runs through next season.
