K. Jones's Availability for Next Season in Doubt As Well
The Detroit Lions placed tailback Kevin Jones on the injured reserve list.
Not only is Jones's 2006 season over, but there also are concerns about his availability for the 2007 season.
He reportedly has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc fracture, a serious midfoot injury that involves ligament damage and could require surgery and a year or more of rehabilitation. The injury is named for Jacques Lisfranc, a field surgeon in Napoleon's army who first described it.
