Panthers Place Wahle on IR List

The Carolina Panthers placed guard Mike Wahle on the injured reserve list today, ending his season.

He will undergo surgery for a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

The Panthers likely will be without quarterback Jake Delhomme for a third straight week. He has ligament damage in his right thumb and still can't grip a ball to throw it. He sat out today's practice.
