Week 16 Rankings

Which NFC team do you trust? Just when you started to trust the Saints, they lose at home to the Redskins. The Bears nearly blow a game against the lowly Buccaneers, and it wasn't even Rex Grossman's fault. The Cowboys looked good in Atlanta, but that was right after they'd been routed at home by the Saints. At least there are some constants in the league this season: The Chargers are solid, and the Lions and Raiders stink.

Enough with how the Ravens beat the Chargers. That game was on Oct. 1. The rankings are about current level of play. You are perfectly welcome to make an argument that the Ravens deserve to be ranked No. 1. But that is not an argument that carries any weight at all with me.

Active Brain Cells To 4th Floor:

I hate to confuse you with facts because the facts are probably irrelevant to you, but here goes.

Common opponents: Ravens lost to Broncos, Chargers beat Broncos TWICE. Ravens lost to Bengals, Chargers beat Bengals.

Not to mention Ravens have three losses, Chargers only have two losses. And the Chargers have a eight game winning streak. That's EIGHT games in a row.

Nice job Mark, you got the list right again.

I'm a huge Ravens fan and in the past Mark has rated them lower then they deserve, I suspect this week he rated them higher then they deserve to make up for it. While I like the Ravens at 2nd I think 3rd behind the Colts or at the least tied with the Colts is probably closer to the truth. They haven't been strong the last few weeks. I do agree that the AFC top three teams should be higher the the Bears or any other NFC team as the NFC just isn't as good. In fact you could make an arguement to place the Patriots in front of the Bears.

4th Floor according to your logic Skins' would be better than Saints? Teams are what their OVERALL records indicate. Enough said.

Good job with rankings Mark! Couldn't agree more...
