J. Taylor Named Defensive Player of Year by AP
Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor was named the NFL's defensive player of the year by the Associated Press.
Taylor played for a team that went 6-10 but had 13-1/2 sacks, forced 10 fumbles and returned two interceptions for touchdowns.
A panel of 50 media members gave 22 votes to Taylor, 16 to Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey, six to San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman, four to Chicago Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher and one each to Baltimore Ravens teammates Ray Lewis and Trevor Pryce.

He had a good year, but is he as dominating as Merriman with 4 less games? Hey, I am for the local guy!

Hey RobGreg,
You FOOL! Merriman had 4 less games true...but he was also juiced to the max. Just like Canseco, McGuire, Palmero and Bonds....these guys are nothing without the juice. Liars and cheats afraid to compete au-natural.
I am glad Taylor won. He's a class act.
