Lions Reportedly Retaining Millen for Seventh Season as Team President

Detroit Lions owner William Clay Ford reportedly has decided to retain Matt Millen as team president.

Fox-TV-2 in Detroit reported that Millen will remain in that role for a seventh season.

The Lions have a record of 24-72 since Millen was hired and went 3-13 this season. They will have the second overall selection in the NFL draft in April, having squandered their chance to have the top pick by winning in Dallas on Sunday.

Millen has four seasons remaining on his contract.

The Lions reportedly will part ways with defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson.

Cool. Now Detroit can draft somebody they really need, like a wide receiver. ;)

Along with Arizona, the only franchise out there who has a more inept front office than the Redskins.

Whew! What a relief. Millen won't be a candidate for the Giants GM opening.
