Bears Promote Babich to Defensive Coordinator

The Chicago Bears elevated Bob Babich from linebackers coach to defensive coordinator.

The move comes a day after the team announced it would not be renewing the contract of defensive coordinator Ron Rivera.

Rivera took a job in San Diego as the Chargers' linebackers coach.
