Bengals Release B. Simmons
The Cincinnati Bengals released linebacker Brian Simmons.
The former first-round draft choice had two seasons remaining on his contract for salaries totaling $7 million. He'd spent his entire nine-year NFL career in Cincinnati.

This move makes no sense. 2 of their starting LBs are in serious trouble, one for a neck injury and another is part of the now legendary off-the-field issues that face the Bengals...and somehow this is the guy that does not make sense for the team? Are you freaking kidding me? If you're going to claim that you want character guys on your team, all reports indicate that this was one of those guys, and he was pretty good too.
