Cowboys Reportedly Hiring Chargers Secondary Coach as Defensive Coordinator

The Dallas Cowboys reportedly are hiring San Diego Chargers defensive backs coach Brian Stewart as their defensive coordinator.

The Dallas Morning News reported the move could be announced as soon as today.

Stewart would be reunited with the Cowboys' newly hired head coach, Wade Phillips, formerly the defensive coordinator for the Chargers.

Phillips picked Stewart over Cowboys secondary coach Todd Bowles, who was interviewed by owner Jerry Jones for the head coaching job in Dallas.

The Cowboys secondary was horrible last season despite having number one drafts picks in Terence Newman and Roy Williams.

It's no wonder they did not select Todd Bowles.

The Cowboys pass defense was horrible because they had T. Newman and R. Williams. Those guys are pathetic, Williams more so that Newman.
