Saints Inform C. Grant He's Being Tagged

The New Orleans Saints have informed defensive end Charles Grant they're giving him the team's franchise player tag.

Grant would have a salary of $8.644 million next season if he retains the franchise designation.

He is the fifth player league-wide to be named franchise player this offseason. The deadline for clubs to use the tag is Thursday.
