T. Green on Way Out of Kansas City?

The re-signing of Damon Huard by the Kansas City Chiefs perhaps could lead to fellow quarterback Trent Green being traded or released.

The Chiefs now have Huard and youngster Brodie Croyle to vie for the starting job if Green exits. Green is 37 and has a $7.2 million salary for the 2007 season.

So it looks like Trent Green and Patrick Ramsey will BOTH be available soon.

The only mistake the 'Skins could make would be to try and correct their previous mistake(s) and pick these guys up again.

I've lived in the DC area since the summer of '91, and of all the QB's the Skins have had since then, Trent Green was far and away my favorite. It may not be possible to get him back here, but damn, if they did, I would be a very happy person.

Well, whatevers happens he's not going to get that 7.2 million next year.

Green is a shadow of his former self, thanks in part to his massive head injury early in the 2006 season. However, his experience might make him a good backup for a youngster. I don't know that he'd be any improvement over Brunell in that role for the Skins though.

For gosh sakes, don't even think of going down the "let's bring in Trent Green for a tryout" road. Yikes.
