Active Niners Continue to Remake Defense By Signing Banta-Cain
The San Francisco 49ers continue to be active.
Today they agreed to a contract with linebacker Tully Banta-Cain, a free agent from the New England Patriots.
The 49ers have remade their defense in free agency by signing cornerback Nate Clements, safety Michael Lewis, tackle Aubrayo Franklin and Banta-Cain. They've also added speedy wide receiver Ashley Lelie to their offense.

Oh yeah? Well...remember the NFL has a good model that been's tried like the 49ers are doing. It called "The Danny Synder (Redskins) Plan". Haha...

The difference is that while the owners of the Niners and the Skins are both morons, Dr. York knows it and is keeping out of the way.

Not quite, DC. 49ers also have at least 6 picks in the 1st 4 rounds (and possibly 8) in this year's draft. How bout those Redskins, one first round pick and then nothing until the later rounds? Not only are the Skins having problems keeping their players, but they can't even draft new ones due to the Snyder plan. Next year, it will be a battle between the Redskins and Raiders for NFLs worst next year. And thank you for Walt Harris last year. He got the 49ers more interceptions than the Redskins got all last year. But glad you took over rated Carter and doofus Brandon Lloyd off our hands. Dr. York is a goof, but at least his team is going in the right direction.

Also, check out the ages of the 49ers signees... Clements - 27, Lewis - 26, Franklin - 26, Banta-Cain - 26. Nolan is building this thing to last. As a 49er fan, it's been a long time since we've had anything to cheer about. Looks like things might be turning around.
