Broncos Still Waiting on Wilkinson

Defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson is yet to report to the Denver Broncos to undergo a physical to cement the 13-day-old trade in which the Broncos obtained Wilkinson from the Miami Dolphins for a sixth-round draft choice. But the Broncos apparently haven't given up on having him.

The Denver Post reported that today was to be the deadline for Wilkinson to report but the Broncos and Dolphins have agreed to extend it.

The Broncos made the Wilkinson trade on the same day--March 3--that they traded quarterback Jake Plummer to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a 2008 draft pick. Maybe the Broncos should have refrained from making trades that day. Plummer has said he will retire rather than accept the deal.
