Chargers Cut McCardell, Foley, Kiel

The San Diego Chargers released wide receiver Keenan McCardell, linebacker Steve Foley and safety Terrence Kiel.

Foley sat out the season after being wounded in September when he was shot by an off-duty police officer, and Kiel was arrested by Drug Enforcement Administration officers and charged with illegally shipping codeine-based cough syrup to Texas.
