Conduct Policy To Be In Place Before Draft, Goodell Says

PHOENIX, Ariz.--NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said during a news conference here today that he will announce his new player conduct policy before the draft next month.

Goodell said the policy could include a provision that players with repeat criminal offenses could be suspended for up to one year.

It also will include a provision, Goodell said, to sanction a team with a significant number of offending players with a fine or the loss of a draft pick or picks.
