Final Revenue-Sharing Component Could Be Put in Place Next Week, Finally

When the NFL's team owners meet next week in Phoenix at the annual league meeting, they might determine the criteria by which teams would qualify for additional funds under the revenue-sharing plan they approved last year.

The owners ratified a plan for bolstered revenue-sharing as part of their labor settlement with the players' union last March. But it has remained undetermined which teams would receive the additional money, and the delay has angered some owners of low-revenue franchises.

League spokesman Greg Aiello said during a conference call today that revenue-sharing is on the agenda for the league meeting and it's possible there will be a resolution next week on the issue of qualifiers.
