Giants Trade for Droughns

The New York Giants, needing a running back to replace the retired Tiki Barber, obtained Reuben Droughns today in a trade with the Cleveland Browns.

The Giants sent wide receiver Tim Carter to Cleveland for Droughns, who is likely to split time with Brandon Jacobs with the Giants. Droughns ran for 758 yards for the Browns this past season. Before that, he had consecutive 1,200-yard rushing seasons for the Denver Broncos in 2004 and the Browns in 2005.
