Kerney Chooses Seahawks Over Broncos
One of the top remaining free agents came off the board when defensive end Patrick Kerney agreed to a six-year, $39.5 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
The deal includes $19.5 million in guaranteed money.
The Seahawks prevailed over Kerney's other finalist, the Denver Broncos.
Kerney spent his first eight NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and totaled 58 sacks. He had 13 sacks in 2004 but managed only 11 over the past two seasons combined.
