Texans Release Carr
The Houston Texans released quarterback David Carr, two days after trading for Matt Schaub.
Carr, the top overall selection in the 2002 NFL draft, becomes a free agent. The Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders and Minnesota Vikings are said to be among the interested teams.
The Texans tried but failed to trade Carr after obtaining Schaub in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday.
