D. Carr to Visit Seahawks Next

Free agent quarterback David Carr completed a visit with the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday. He is to visit the Seattle Seahawks next.

The former top overall draft choice, released by the Houston Texans, is drawing interest only as a potential backup. He would back up Jake Delhomme in Carolina. In Seattle, he would compete with Seneca Wallace for the backup job behind Matt Hasselbeck.

The Miami Dolphins also have expressed interest in Carr.

The Panthers' other backup quarterback candidate is free agent Joey Harrington.
