N. Barnett, Packers Agree to Extension

Linebacker Nick Barnett agreed to a contract extension with the Green Bay Packers that will keep him from being an unrestricted free agent next year.

The five-year extension runs through the 2012 season. He had one season remaining on his existing contract.
