Rams Sign Dolphins Punter to Offer Sheet in Restricted Free Agency

Miami Dolphins punter Donnie Jones, a restricted free agent, agreed to an offer sheet with the St. Louis Rams.

Once the offer sheet is signed, the Dolphins will have a week to decide whether to retain Jones by matching the Rams' five-year, nearly $5.6 million offer. The deal includes a signing bonus of just less than $1.2 million.

The Dolphins receive a seventh-round draft pick from the Rams as compensation if they allow Jones to go to St. Louis.
