C. Henry Didn't Fail Drug Test

Officials said Wednesday that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry has not failed a court-ordered drug test.

A Kentucky prosecutor told reporters Monday that Henry had failed a drug test and could be subject to jail time, but later that day the prosecutor's office backed off that contention and Henry's representatives denied it. On Wednesday, a prosecutor and one of Henry's attorneys told the Associated Press that Henry had passed his drug tests.

The Bengals issued a written statement saying, "The club is not aware of any circumstance in which Chris has not complied with his obligations to legal and NFL-related procedures that will be required if he is to return to active playing status during the 2007 season."

Henry was suspended for the first half of the 2007 season by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for violating the league's conduct policy.
