Culpepper Leaves Practice Field, Wants to be Released
Quarterback Daunte Culpepper attended the Miami Dolphins' minicamp today but left the field during practice after being allowed to participate only in individual drills.
The Dolphins, after obtaining veteran quarterback Trent Green from the Kansas City Chiefs, are attempting to trade Culpepper. But Culpepper wants to be released so that he can choose his next team, and is vowing to block any trade. He essentially can do that since his contract is to pay him a salary of $5.5 million for the 2007 season; any club that would trade for Culpepper almost certainly would want him to rework his contract as a precursor to the deal.
If he refuses, he likely can force the Dolphins to release him at some point rather than pay him that salary.

You can blame that snake, Nick Saban for Daunte's situation now.

Someone is going to want the guy. He might make a better backup than Brunell for the Skins at this point. He's not Jeff George, and teams keep signing him.

i've been saying for some time now that the packers should sign him, let him get healthy sitting out for a year as brett takes his victory lap, and then let him take over when brett retires, then trade rodgers for picks/whoever.
where oh where did mr. maske go?

Is Mark on vacation? Gone?
This post is two weeks old. The NFL is still alive and well. Is Mark?

I think Mark usually takes vacation between the end of his once-a-day team analyses and the start of training camp. At least that's what has happened in years past...
