G. Adams Agrees to Deal With Bucs
Defensive end Gaines Adams, the fourth overall selection in the NFL draft in April, has reached a contract agreement with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a league source said.
He is the eighth of the 32 first-round picks to complete a deal with his team.
The others are Atlanta Falcons defensive end Jamaal Anderson (the eighth overall choice), Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons (15th), New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross (20th), New Orleans Saints wide receiver Robert Meachem (27th), San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Joe Staley (28th), San Diego Chargers wide receiver Craig Davis (30th) and Chicago Bears tight end Greg Olsen (31st).
