Holdman's Injury Not Thought to be Serious

Denver Broncos linebacker Warrick Holdman suffered what the team called a spinal cord concussion on a hit during the club's practice Thursday.

Holdman had feeling and movement in his arms and legs after initially experiencing numbness. He was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance and was to be kept overnight for observation.

It was not immediately clear how the injury would affect his playing status, but Broncos officials seemed hopeful that he would be cleared to play soon.

Holdman left the Washington Redskins in the offseason to sign with the Broncos via free agency.
