More Trouble For Reid's Son

A son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid was detained today on suspicion of driving while impaired.

Britt Reid, 22, reportedly failed a sobriety test administered by police in a parking lot and was given a blood test. Police were awaiting the results of the blood test. Reid is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to gun and drug charges stemming from a Jan. 30 incident. His older brother, 24-year-old Garrett Reid, was involved in a separate incident the same day and has pleaded guilty to drug and traffic charges.

Andy Reid took a leave of absence from the Eagles in February and March. He indicated when he returned to work that he'd briefly contemplated quitting coaching but hadn't given it serious consideration. He said when training camp began that he would not comment on his sons' cases.
