Bucs Release D. Boston

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released wide receiver David Boston.

The team announced that it had reached an injury settlement with Boston, who sat out the season-opening game because of a foot injury.

Earlier this week, police released test results showing that Boston had a depressant, the "date-rape drug" GHB, in his system when he was arrested last month and charged with driving under the influence. Boston has maintained he did nothing wrong and was not impaired when he was arrested.
