Decision Made: Bears to Bench Grossman
The Chicago Bears are poised to bench Rex Grossman, the wildly inconsistent quarterback who helped them reach the Super Bowl last season.
Bears Coach Lovie Smith has decided to sit down Grossman and elevate backup Brian Griese to be the team's starter, two people familiar with the situation said. Several news outlets in Chicago also reported that Griese would get the starting job for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.

I felt that, after his meltdown in the Superbowl, Grossman should
have been traded because, as soon
as he had a bad game, the fans would be agitating for his removal. He may be just another NFL quarterback bust or, he might
become a competent journeyman but, its not likely to be in Chicago. Maybe the Bears can trade him to the Eagles for McNabb, who is kind of on the hotseat with Philly fans. Maybe it would best for both QB's to have a fresh start with a different team.

excellent! Maybe Da Bears season can be saved. Too bad they did not try trading him after the SB when they would have gotten a lot more in return. They guy tries but is just not good enough for a starting QB position in the NFL.
