Jaguars Release Leftwich

The Jacksonville Jaguars made it official today and released quarterback Byron Leftwich.

The former first-round draft pick becomes an unrestricted free agent.

The Jaguars, not surprisingly, were unable to trade Leftwich after announcing Friday they would trade or release him.

The Redskins should trade Brunell to Seattle for a pick (perhaps equivalent to pick lost in the Kendall trade). Then they could pick-up Leftwich - a D.C. native. Why not?
