S. Rice to Denver

Free agent defensive end Simeon Rice, cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just before training camp when he reportedly refused to accept a pay cut, signed with the Denver Broncos.

Rice signed a one-year, $3 million deal that includes another $1 million in possible incentives.

He also had drawn interest from the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans and St. Louis Rams. He has 121 sacks in 11 NFL seasons but had only two last season.
