Chargers Get Wide Receiver Chambers from Dolphins

The San Diego Chargers obtained former Pro Bowl wide receiver Chris Chambers in a trade that sends a second-round draft pick next spring to the Miami Dolphins.

Chambers had 31 catches for 415 yards in six games for the Dolphins this season. He had 405 receptions his nearly 6-1/2 seasons in Miami. His best season came in 2005, when he had 82 catches for 1,118 yards and 11 touchdowns. He played for Chargers Coach Norv Turner when Turner was the Dolphins' offensive coordinator in 2002 and 2003.

The Chargers placed wideout Eric Parker on the injured reserve list because of a toe injury.
