Delhomme Undergoes Elbow Surgery

Injured Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme underwent ligament replacement surgery on his right elbow Thursday in Charlotte, apparently without any unexpected difficulties.

Pat Connor, the Panthers' team doctor, performed the 90-minute procedure and issued a written statement saying that all went well. Delhomme faces seven to nine months of rehabilitation. He is on the injured reserve list.
