Fox's Choice Between Testaverde and Carr Could Be Announced Wednesday

The Carolina Panthers might name a starting quarterback Wednesday.

Coach John Fox refused to say during the team's bye last week whether Vinny Testaverde or David Carr would have the job when the club returned to work.

Carr inherited the job from Jake Delhomme, who underwent season-ending elbow surgery. But with Carr sidelined by an ailing back, Testaverde stepped in and won a game against the Arizona Cardinals only four days after being signed.
