Garrard's Play Making Del Rio Look Good

Jacksonville Jaguars Coach Jack Del Rio put his reputation--and perhaps his job--on the line when he decided just before the season to release Byron Leftwich and go with David Garrard as his starting quarterback.

The early returns are promising for Del Rio.

While Leftwich remains a backup to Joey Harrington in Atlanta, the Jaguars are 3-1 and Garrard is the NFL's fourth-rated passer this week behind only Tom Brady, Jake Delhomme and Peyton Manning. Garrard is taking care of the football, with no interceptions in his 102 passes this season.
